“At Maddalena we believe that safety and health in the workplace, in addition to being a fundamental right of every single worker, is a result that can be obtained with the help and collaboration of everyone. ” – comments Emanuele Ferrari, Delegate for corporate safety on the eve of obtaining the ISO 45001: 2018 certificate – “To achieve this important result we have implemented over the years a series of internal activities aimed at involving each colleague, starting from the SPP figures, and reaching up to the persons in charge and individual workers”.
Maddalena Spa in fact has always worked for the safety of its team, analyzing and evaluating the risks and adopting virtuous initiatives that have confirmed in the last two years a zero accident at work balance.
In July 2021, therefore, compliance with ISO 45001: 2018 comes. The standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and implemented at national level by the Italian Standardization Body (UNI), defines the requirements and obligations necessary to obtain a management system for the safety and health of workers in the workplace, able to prevent potential risks and reduce the incidence of accidents and occupational diseases on company productivity.
The know-how that animates the staff of Maddalena Spa at all levels represents a real capital to be encouraged and protected, even more so in the global pandemic scenario like the one we are experiencing. Actions taken in this area to fight the spread of the Covid-19 virus have highlighted excellent risk management skills and a wise use of digital technologies available to the company.
Ensuring an active policy in the name of health and safety at work in Maddalena Spa is a fundamental aspect on which we have been working for many years. Reaching the goal of this certification represents a fundamental piece of a broader path that speaks the language of corporate social responsibility and that will be realized soon also in obtaining the SA8000 Social Accountability certification.
The standard integrates perfectly with the others already recognized to the Company, giving life to an Integrated Management System ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 27001 (Information Security) to which is added the Accreditation of the Calibration Laboratory in accordance with the ISO 17025 Standard.
