From October 22 to 24, 2024, Maddalena S.p.A. took center stage at Enlit Europe in Milan, one of the most anticipated events in the energy and sustainability sector. The company showcased its top innovations in smart water metering, reaffirming its position at the forefront of advanced technological solutions design.
A Booth full of innovations
Hall 6 was the vibrant hub of Maddalena S.p.A.’s activities, where visitors could explore the ElecTo range, designed to ensure high performance, reliability, and support for the needs of intelligent water management.
Among the products showcased:
- ElecTo MVM+C and ElecTo Sonic – Also displayed on the iconic yellow wall of the LoRa Alliance, these two LoRaWAN-certified meters are the top-of-the-line solutions for IoT applications.
- ElecTo Sonic with NB-IoT Technology – One of the main attractions at the STMicroelectronics booth, developed through a strategic collaboration with one of the global leaders in microelectronics.
Strategic Collaborations
Maddalena S.p.A.’s joint participation at various booths highlighted the importance of its partnerships, which are essential for providing integrated solutions and addressing the challenges of an ever-evolving sector.
The collaboration with STMicroelectronics enabled the preview of cutting-edge technologies such as NB-IoT communication. “This partnership allowed us to integrate NB-IoT technology by selecting the only ultra-compact industrial module on the market that offers ready-to-use certified NB-IoT cellular connectivity,” said Filippo Fontanelli, CTO of Maddalena. “This enables our new meters to provide unparalleled implementation speed to our customers.“
At the same time, the partnership with Inkwell Data Ltd. announced the launch of end-to-end IoT solutions dedicated to service providers for Smart Water and Smart Building in Europe. With Europe focused on the digitalization of water networks and buildings, many organizations are seeking out-of-the-box solutions to monitor, bill accurately, and manage consumption efficiently. However, the choice of available technologies can be complex for procurement teams, who are often tasked with defining, integrating, testing, and scaling new solutions. Maddalena and Inkwell Data are working synergistically to simplify this challenge by offering a high-performance integrated Head-End and Data Management System, embedded in Maddalena’s full range of meters.
During the three days of the fair, the Maddalena S.p.A. team, represented by key figures such as Giovanni Maddalena (CMO) and Filippo Fontanelli (CTO), welcomed an international audience, sharing ideas, strengthening strategic relationships, and presenting cutting-edge solutions.
