The winning companies of the Energy Awards FVG 2023, an award sponsored by the Agenzia per l’Energia del Friuli Venezia Giulia to recognize the efforts of the most virtuous companies in the field of energy sustainability, were celebrated on November 22.
The 2023 change was dictated by the introduction of a new key player in the decarbonization challenge: companies of all sectors and sizes. A call to which companies in the area that have already embarked on a virtuous path toward sustainability issues, especially environmental ones, responded on a voluntarily.
Participation in the competition required applicants to fill out a checklist based on which, along with the evidence received from the 16 finalist companies, rankings were made and awards were given to categories representing different facets of commitment to smart energy use:

Use of Renewable Sources and Emissions Reduction: Venica & Venica Società Agricola
Communication: Maddalena S.p.A.
Mobility: Consorzio Produttori Formaggio Montasio S.c.a.
Circular economy: Azienda agricola Brumat

This edition was realized with the support of Confindustria Udine, Confindustria Alto Adriatico, Confartigianato imprese Udine, CNA FVG, LEF, Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico “Andrea Galvani” and in collaboration with Fondazione Agrifood & Bioeconomy cluster FVG (Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia), cluster Legno Arredo Casa, cluster Comet, Digital Technology Cluster – DITEDI, Maritime Technology Cluster FVG and Animaimpresa, which contributed to the success of the evening.
The director of APE FVG highlighted how, since the foundation of the agency in 2006, the challenges regarding energy have shifted from topics far removed from everyday life to shared priorities among businesses, governments and citizens. The current situation calls for the consolidation of best practices and the creation of new forms of energy efficiency, also popularized by the Energy Awards, which testify to companies’ commitment in this area.
