Maddalena SpA Awarded by WHP FVG Network: A Concrete Commitment to Employee Health and Well-being

November 29th, 2024

On Friday, November 29, Maddalena SpA took part in the award ceremony for the WHP (Workplace Health Promotion) program, promoted by the World Health Organization. This recognition celebrates companies that excel in fostering health and well-being in the workplace.

During the event, which was shared with 24 other awarded companies, we had the opportunity to present the best practices implemented throughout the year. We received positive feedback and validation on the importance of the initiatives developed by the company in two key areas:

Promotion of Physical Activity

At Maddalena SpA, we believe that sports play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our employees and the community in which we operate. For this reason, we have developed several initiatives that, over time, have become an integral part of our corporate culture:

  • Five-a-side football tournament: held annually, the tournament holds a value that goes far beyond the playing field. Born 20 years ago, it was transformed in 2006 into the “Memorial Aldo Polzot,” a collaborator of the company who passed away prematurely, and later took the form of a five-a-side football tournament in 2019.

  • Tennis Day: In collaboration with the Tennis Time FVG Association, since 2023, a summer day dedicated to tennis has been organized, open to employees and their families, to promote well-being and togetherness.

  • Support for local sports activities: Maddalena actively supports disciplines such as basketball, baskin (inclusive basketball for people with disabilities), and cycling, promoting a healthy lifestyle beyond the company. A comprehensive overview can be found in the 2022/23 Sustainability Report.

Corporate Welfare

A work environment that values the well-being of people and promotes work-life balance is an environment that invests in the future of its employees. The two high-impact projects presented to the WHP Network have been active since 2022 and are made possible through co-financing from the #Conciliamo Call of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Family Policies.

  • Intercompany Summer Camp: Created in collaboration with I.CO.P. Spa Società Benefit and Martina Srl, the camp is completely free for employees’ children and provides concrete support to families in managing work-life balance.

  • Corporate Butler: An innovative and highly appreciated role by everyone, Tiziana, the corporate butler, is dedicated to providing practical support to employees, helping them balance their personal and professional lives.

This important recognition from the WHP FVG Network represents another step in our sustainability journey, which also aims at improving the quality of working life for Maddalena’s employees. Our commitment is constant and renewed each year, with initiatives that focus on the health, well-being, and satisfaction of our people.

This project helps Maddalena S.p.A.
contribute to the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
